Intervención educativa para modificar conocimientos sobre cáncer bucal en trabajadores de fábrica tabaco

Abstract

El cáncer bucal es una enfermedad que ha experimentado un ascenso en los últimos tiempos, es causa de muerte y discapacidad para quienes la padecen, puede ser prevenida con la práctica de estilos de vida saludables. El estudio tiene comoobjetivo modificar conocimientos sobre cáncer bucal mediante la aplicación de una intervención educativa en los trabajadores de la fábrica de tabaco de Zaza del Medio. Se realizó un estudio de intervención educativa donde fueron utilizados los métodos de investigación del nivel teórico el analítico-sintético, el histórico-lógico y el inductivo-deductivo. Las variables utilizadas fueron: edad con mayor representación para el grupo 40-49 años, sexo con predominio del masculino, nivel de escolaridad donde el preuniversitario fue el más representativo, factores de riesgo y nivel de conocimientos aspectos en los cuales se constató un mal dominio acerca de los mismos. La intervención Educativa permitió mejorar los conocimientos sobre cáncer bucal en los tabaqueros.
