La tecnología digital como aporte al desarrollo de las bibliotecas de Portoviejo distrito de educación 13D01

Abstract

En este documento se presentan los avances de la investigación sobre la incorporación y uso de la tecnología digital en el Distrito de Educación 13D01, el mismo tuvo como objetivo demostrar la importancia de contar con un software de gestión de biblioteca en las instituciones escolares del Distrito 13D01-cantón Portoviejo, de la provincia de Manabí, República del Ecuador; para lo cual, se hizo necesario identificar las bibliotecas que cuentan con software de gestión y determinar qué tipos de tecnologías utilizan en las instituciones del Distrito de Educación 13D01. Como metodología se utilizó el estudio descriptico utilizando un enfoque cuantitativo. La población está constituida por 180 instituciones del Distrito de Educación 13D01, con una muestra de 50 instituciones escogidas de forma Aleatoria. Como resultado se pudo dar respuesta a las preguntas problemas que dieron inicio a este estudio. Se concluye que la mayor parte de las bibliotecas carecen de un software de gestión de bibliotecas, tienen poca capacidad para la conectividad como Wi-fi; por lo tanto, no se está cumpliendo con los requerimientos tecnológicos imprescindible para el proceso de formación de los estudiantes.
