El síndrome de Bournot en las secretarias de la Universidad técnica de Manabí

Abstract

El Síndrome de Burnout como tal, surge en la década de los 1970 de la mano de Herbert Freudenberger, dando lugar al concepto de Burnout e incorporándolo a la psicología laboral tras realizar estudios como voluntario en una clínica para toxicómanos en Nueva York. Allí evidencia que los trabajadores presentaban síntomas de depresión y de ansiedad tras tres años de trabajo. Los primeros estudios surgieron en 1969 al evidenciar un cuadro común en los oficiales de policía que trabajaban con delincuentes juveniles. En el trabajo se muestran los resultados de una evaluación sobre el riesgo de Bournot realizada a los profesionales que se desempeñan en el secretariado en la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Para el estudio se aplicó una encuesta basada en el cuestionario de Maslach de 1986 (Vidal-Martínez, 2013), (Sandoval-Duran, 2013) en su segunda variante, a una muestra representativa de dichos profesionales.
