Periodismo y política en audiencias juveniles: un estudio de caso en Guayaquil

Abstract

La programación política en los medios de comunicación dirigida a las audiencias juveniles constituye un reto en la actualidad ante la diversidad de temas de interés de ese segmento poblacional. La siguiente investigación tuvo como principal objetivo analizar cómo influyen algunos programas televisivos en la percepción y opinión política de los jóvenes de 16 a 18 años del colegio Academia Naval Guayaquil. Para el desarrollo de la investigación de tipología descriptiva, de campo y explicativa, se aplicó una encuesta a 180 estudiantes con un enfoque de investigación mixto que permitió diagnosticar la problemática analizada. Como principales resultados se determinó que los estudiantes muestran un fuerte desinterés político y consideran la falta de espacios para que ellos puedan instruirse políticamente. La mayoría de los encuestados prefieren ver o aprender de otros temas ajenos a la política tomando en cuenta que los contenidos de los programas televisivos analizados no logran captar su atención.
