Actividad antimicrobiana del extracto hidroetanólico de mejorana (Origanun majorana)

Abstract

Se trabajó en la obtención y caracterización organoléptica del extracto hidroetanólico de hojas de Mejorana (Origanum majorana), posteriormente utilizando diferentes niveles del extracto 25, 50, 75 y 100% se evaluó la actividad antimicrobiana sobre cepas purificadas de Proteus spp, para esto se dispuso de 20 unidades experimentales divididas en cuatro tratamientos con tres repeticiones distribuídas bajo un Diseño completamente al azar, encontrándose finalmente que la actividad antimicrobiana sobre las cepas de Proteus spp se ven influenciadas directamente en la formación de halos de inhibición llegando a un máximo de 10.3 mm con extractos al 100%. Se concluye entonces que el extracto obtenido a partir de la Mejorana posee características de calidad aceptables, además de presentar una notable actividad antimicrobiana frente a las cepas de las bacterias del género Proteus spp.
