Relación entre el burnout y los niveles de glucosa capilar en docentes diagnosticados con diabetes de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí

Abstract

La diabetes es una enfermedad cada vez más frecuente, principalmente en trabajadores que tienden a estar sometidos a una mayor presión, considerando este punto, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo el describir la relación entre el burnout y los niveles de glucosa capilar en docentes diagnosticados con diabetes de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, para alcanzarlo se empleó un método descriptivo, cuantitativo y empírico de corte transversal. Las técnicas empleadas fueron el test de Maslach, que consta de 22 ítems divididos en tres áreas, y entrevista breve que añadía datos referentes de los niveles de glucosa en sangre. Los docentes seleccionados correspondían a la base de datos de la Unidad de bienestar estudiantil de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, en esta base de datos se encontraron 20 personas con diagnóstico de diabetes, de los cuales 10 docentes de diferentes áreas y el resto correspondía a trabajadores que desempeñan diversas funciones dentro de la institución, se procedió a realizar el test de manera individual.
