Plano de renaturalização de trechos de canais urbanos de Belém-Pará-Brasil: contribuições para o planejamento urbano sustentável, e para o tratamento das inundações urbanas

Abstract

O presente estudo avalia as potencialidades do planejamento urbano sustentável intitulado: “renaturalização†de canais, para o fito de conter o problema dos alagamentos e inundações urbanas. E propõe a aplicação desse planejamento para a cidade de Belém-PA, Brasil. Utiliza como procedimento metodológico a revisão de literatura sobre o conceito de renaturalização, e, o mapeamento dos canais de Belém através do geoprocessamento. Obtém como resultado, a constatação de que a cidade de Belém apresenta números trechos de canais urbanos com viabilidade para a aplicação do plano de renaturalização.
