Topónimos de origen aborigen en Puerto Padre

Abstract

La identidad de los pueblos dice mucho de sus habitantes, orígenes y costumbres; sin embargo la rapidez que impone la vida moderna con sus desafíos cotidianos e impostergables, relega a segundos o terceros planos temas como el cuidado y protección del patrimonio cultural. El siguiente trabajo realiza un estudio de los toponímicos aborígenes en Puerto Padre como muestra legado de nuestros ancestros y dado a que en muchos de estos lugares radican sitios en los que hay evidencia de presencia de nativos, resulta importante conservarlos y protegerlos como parte del tesoro patrimonial que ha llegado a nuestros días.
