El desarrollo del agroturismo en el municipio la palma: retos, perspectivas y oportunidades

Abstract

Pinar del Río posee un amplio potencial para el desarrollo del turismo, por sus valores naturales y paisajísticos, y su rica cultura. El artículo está dirigido a dar a conocer los retos, perspectivas y oportunidades del municipio La Palma relacionados con la actividad agroturística. Se abordan elementos teóricos asociados con dicha actividad. Se expone el diagnosticó de la situación actual del turismo en el referido municipio. Se describe el resultado del análisis de las potencialidades que posee el territorio para desarrollar la actividad agroturística. Finalmente, se presenta una propuesta de un programa dirigido a promover el agroturismo, desde la villa Cayo Levisa, aprovechando la cercanía con dicha instalación. Se exponen las condiciones previas que garantizarán la eficiencia del programa turístico que se pretende implementar, además, se muestran las actividades que contiene el mismo. Dicho programa constituirá una vía segura y efectiva para elevar la calidad de vida de los palmeros.
