Software libre para uso de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil

Abstract

El contexto tecnológico de las Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil (OSC) al igual que otros sectores está en constante actualización, y es importante conocer los productos que nacen, desaparecen y se actualizan, tal es el ejemplo del software el cual sufre actualizaciones constantemente con el fin de mejorar sus servicios, funcionalidad, seguridad y disponibilidad. Esto supone que las organizaciones deben evaluar el tipo de software libre o privado, partiendo de las necesidades que este pueda cubrir. El software libre está avalado por organizaciones internacionales como la ONU e instituciones de educación superior de diferentes países, que colaboran con la certeza, validez y seguridad; resta a las OSC seleccionar el que más se adapte a sus necesidades. En este sentido, este texto presenta una relación de software libre que las OSC puedan consultar, analizar y valorar para su uso dentro de sus procesos administrativos y operativos, lo anterior haciendo uso de investigación documental, partiendo del marco teórico y contextual del software libre.
