Estudio descriptivo sobre las creencias de los padres de familia acerca de la sexualidad de sus hijos con discapacidad intelectual

Abstract

El trabajo que se informa presenta una evaluación de las creencias basado en la teoría Cognocitivista de las Creencias de Boudon, que tuvo un grupo focal de 6 padres de familia de jóvenes con discapacidad intelectual, pertenecientes al Centro de Atenciones Múltiples, María Montessori No. 65,ubicado en el municipio de Tejupilco, México, al que se le dio seguimiento en un periodo de ocho meses en el año 2014. La metodología utilizada estuvo centrada principalmente en la descripción de situaciones y eventos acontecidos en el estudio focal, además que sirvió para identificar las creencias de la familia, específicamente de las madres, los resultados aportan importantes indicios de las creencias que tienen a cerca de la sexualidad de sus hijos con discapacidad intelectual. De los seis casos, sólo se identificó uno con creencias religiosas muy arraigadas, los demás varían en sus creencias, entre colectivas y sociales.
