La lactancia materna y su repercusión en el desarrollo cognitivo

Abstract

Este estudio da a conocer la importancia de la leche materna en la nutrición de los infantes en sus primeros años de vida, es clave para el crecimiento biopsicosocial del educando, y lo prepara para una vida adulta más exitosa. Debido al cambio de rol de la mujer contemporánea, el desconocimiento, el cambio de paradigmas en el globo terráqueo, entre otras variables, se ha soslayado amamantar a los niños; es decir, que la nutrición del niño provenga del pecho materno, dentro del contexto de su hogar, al abrigo de la madre. Se compara la leche materna y los sucedáneos, se explica las necesidades nutricionales del niño.
