Propuesta de una guía técnica para el control de intersecciones a través de un sistema semafórico

Abstract

El diseño de una guía práctica para la implementación de un sistema semafórico en la ciudad de Quito, Provincia de Pichincha, tiene como finalidad definir una herramienta de gestión que permita reducir los accidentes de tránsito en las intersecciones de tres y cuatro ramas con mayor flujo vehicular y peatonal. Con esta finalidad Mediante la utilización de aforos vehiculares y peatonales permitió identificar el flujo y los diferentes parámetros necesarios para su implementación en la intersección Chilibulo y Enrique Garcés y la intersección Reina Victoria y Gral. Ramón Robles. A través de programas computacionales como el SYNCHRO y AutoCAD que permite realizar planos a escala y simulaciones en tiempo real lo cual ayuda a tener mejores controles y soluciones. Además, se recomienda que el uso de esta guía práctica será un modelo para las demás ciudades del Ecuador que tengan las mismas características geométricas que menciona el proyecto de investigación.
