Las entidades de crédito en Cienfuegos (1901-1920): ¿Dualidad estructural de la banca?

Abstract

La historiografía cubana ha reservado un espacio privilegiado a los estudios económicos, en especial sobre el siglo XIX, favorecidos estos por la copiosa producción de reconocidos autores cubanos como Julio Le Riverend, Manuel Moreno Fraginals, Alejandro García à lvarez, Oscar Zanetti Lecuona, entre otros. La esfera comercial y la industria azucarera son los temas más trabajados, con una mayor incidencia en el periodo colonial. En lo que respecta a la etapa republicana, han sido los estudios del dulce y de las relaciones de dependencia con el capital extranjero los asuntos de mayor notoriedad, donde se destacan los aportes de Oscar Pino Santos.
