La industria azucarera importante fuente para la generación de electricidad en Cuba

Abstract

La cogeneración en los centrales azucareros cubanos representa una importante fuente para la generación de energía eléctrica limpia, esta actividad que se viene realizando hace muchos años, adquiere en estos momentos una importancia fundamental para el desarrollo del país, por esta razón, la voluntad política del gobierno cubano ha concentrado todo su esfuerzo en transformar la agroindustria cubana, para que pueda realizar una apreciable contribución al sistema energético nacional. Convertir a la agroindustria azucarera cubana en un complejo bioenergético, exige de la revisión detenida de los procesos que intervienen en la cadena productiva, desde el cultivo y rendimiento de las plantaciones hasta la acertada planificación y puesta en práctica de cada una de las fases que intervienen en el proceso productivo, teniendo muy en cuenta las necesidades de inversión que toda la cadena productiva necesita.
