Importancia del diseño de puesto y medición del trabajo en las empresas del sector público

Abstract

El objetivo de dirigir al personal es alcanzar la producción más elevada posible, pero sin sacrificar la calidad, el servicio o la capacidad de respuesta. El gerente de operaciones emplea las técnicas del diseño de puestos para estructurar el trabajo de modo que satisfaga las necesidades físicas y psicológicas del trabajador humano. Los métodos para medir el trabajo se usan para establecer cuál es el medio más eficiente para desempeñar una tarea dada, así como para fijar normas razonables para su desempeño. Las personas se sienten motivadas por muchas cosas y la retribución monetaria es tan sólo una de ellas. Los gerentes de operaciones pueden estructurar estas retribuciones no sólo para que motiven de forma consistente un alto desempeño, sino también para que refuercen los aspectos más importantes del trabajo.
