Abstract

La demanda de obtener una información óptima y buena atención por parte de los usuarios es cada vez mayor, esto está obligando a las bibliotecas a analizar y revisar sus funciones y servicios. Para lo cual, se analizó el Rol de los Bibliotecarios Referencistas como facilitador de la información, caso Biblioteca Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila, Universidad Técnica de Manabí. La metodología que se aplicó fue una investigación cuantitativa, y el método bibliográfico, se ejecutaron encuestas a los usuarios que visitan la biblioteca central de la universidad, con el fin de dar a conocer la importancia que tiene un bibliotecario referencista en los procesos de búsqueda y uso de información, llegando a la conclusión de que el personal referencista es bueno y adecuado en la atención al usuario.
