Abstract

La naturaleza y la vida en sus variadas formas se encuentran hoy en peligro de ser destruidas; la acción irracional del sistema capitalista, que ha acelerado el proceso de globalización intentando desde el neoliberalismo desviar el curso objetivo del proceso histórico, es el responsable del caos hacia donde nos dirigimos, tal vez irremediablemente. Con el objetivo de sistematizar el pensamiento de Fidel acerca del peligro inminente para la supervivencia humana que presupone el cambio climático, se concibió este artículo donde se compara el acto de creación, según la Biblia, con la destrucción acelerada de las condiciones para la existencia de lo vivo, según la ciencia. Para docentes y estudiosos del tema sirva este acercamiento para luchar por la vida. Las referencias contenidas en el documento, excepto la cita de Engels, fueron tomadas de la Biblia, aparecen en cursiva, y de intervenciones y reflexiones de Fidel Castro Ruz.
