Evaluación de tres nematicidas biológicos y un químico para el cultivo del babaco (vasconcellea × heilbornii)

Abstract

Un grave problema del cultivo de babaco (Vasconcellea × heilbornii) constituye la diseminación de nematodos que atacan a la raíz de las plantas, causada por material de siembra contaminado. Para su control se hace necesaria la utilización de nematicidas caracterizados por ser productos de alta toxicidad. Esta circunstancia impulsa la utilización de métodos biológicos de control. El objetivo del estudio fue analizar la respuesta a un tipo de nematicida químicos y tres biológicos más un testigo, para determinar la resistencia y tolerancia a nematodos agalladores (Meloidogyne sp.), en la planta de babaco. Se trabajó con 100 plantas las cuales fueron inoculadas con nematodos a los tres meses de edad y evaluadas a los seis meses de edad. Los parámetros a evaluar fueron determinar el número de nematodos por cada 50g de raíz y 100g de suelo. Como resultado se obtuvo todos los nematicidas dieron resultados positivos y los que mejor efecto dieron fueron: Tratamiento 1 (Neem – X) y el Tratamiento 4 (Mocap) al registrar en menor número de nematodos por muestra.
