Las políticas de desarrollo social en comunidades rurales

Abstract

El presente artículo propone un primer acercamiento a la temática de las políticas de desarrollo social en comunidades rurales cubanas. Estas se caracterizan por no diversificar la aplicación de las políticas en función del desarrollo social, centrándose mayormente en el sector agropecuario. La actual unidad de análisis es la comunidad “Pedro Pí†, perteneciente al municipio San José de Las Lajas, provincia Mayabeque, Cuba. Dicha comunidad posee insuficientes acciones que tributen a políticas de desarrollo social relacionadas a cooperativas, Ministerios de Agricultura, entre otros. Es por ello que se concibe a la cultura como la principal mediadora en este proceso capaz de promover el desarrollo social de los pobladores. Propiciando estrategias, proyectos o acciones destinadas a mejorar la calidad de vida y el bienestar social de los habitantes, los cuales demandan altamente un ambiente de dinamización cultural. La investigación se enriquece con la información recopilada mediante métodos como la observación participante y la escala y técnicas como la entrevista en profundidad, la encuesta y el grupo de discusión.
