Presupuestos epistemológicos para el estudio del pensamiento filosófico en el Caribe

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de mostrar algunos de los presupuestos epistemológicos de los cuales se nutre el estudio del pensamiento filosófico en el Caribe. Se parte de definir qué vamos a tener en cuenta como espacio Caribe, para luego dar una valía necesaria a determinados aspectos de los cuales se sustenta este pensamiento como lo son: la interpretación indígena de la realidad, el valor de lo cosmogónico, la presencia del colonialismo lo que da muestra de las primeras conceptualizaciones de la Filosofía. La presencia del negro en el mencionado contexto imprime un sentido de libertad y las ideas de independencia se asoman en el quehacer de diferentes pensadores. No menos importancia reviste la concepción del ser humano como singular que asegura la supervivencia histórica de estos pueblos.
