Abstract

Entre los intelectuales haitianos no solo interesados en el análisis de los problemas sociales que han afectado y afectan a la hermana nación haitiana, sino ocupados en que se produzcan cambios se encuentra Susy Castor; historiadora, politóloga y activista de los derechos humanos cuya la labor teórica y práctica la sitúan en la vanguardia del pensamiento sociopolítico progresista de América Latina y el Caribe. Dirigir la mirada a la peculiar manera de teorizar sobre el proceso de forja de la cultura e identidad nacional del pueblo haitiano y como percibe la cotidianidad de la vida sociopolítica haitiana y su devenir Castor, es de particular significación para entender el presente haitiano y proyectar su futuro.
