Diseño modelo de gestión turística en unidades del turismo localizados en provincia Chimborazo, Ecuador

Abstract

El presente artículo expone los resultados de la investigación orientada a gestar de manera sustentable y operativa una Unidad de Turismo cantonal, adoptando como estudio de caso el Cantón Penipe, provincia de Chimborazo, Ecuador. Este modelo de gestión resulta herramienta catalizadora del desarrollo tanto económico como turístico en la zona, -previo diagnóstico de las potencialidades con las que cuenta la provincia de Chimborazo-, además de validar la tendencia creciente de la actividad turística. De los objetivos logrados son el diseño de un modelo de gestión para mejorar los servicios turísticos y lograr la integración de la población a través de comunidades que implanten propuestas turísticas; estructurar programas de capacitación turística, conservación de los recursos naturales, coordinación interinstitucional y promoción y comercialización turística finalmente; Visibilizar a través de promoción, pretendiendo dinamizar el sector económico, social y turístico de los habitantes de las localidades involucradas.
