Impacto social de cooperativas mineras como una alternativa de desarrollo local sostenible

Abstract

En Cuba existen yacimientos de materiales de la construcción, cuya reserva y posibles volúmenes de producción lo clasifican para hacer explotados a través de cooperativas mineras. Según Batista; Coutin y González (2011), actualmente se cuenta con varios ejemplos de pequeña minería desarrolladas por particulares, entre ellos se encuentran: extracciones de rocas para filtros de agua, bloques de cantería, lajas y fragmentos, arenas y arcillas, piedras semipreciosas y pequeñas producciones informales de oro. La presente investigación lleva como título Impacto social de las cooperativas mineras como una alternativa de desarrollo local sostenible y tiene como objetivo evaluar el impacto social de las cooperativas mineras que permita estimular la organización de esta actividad como una alternativa de desarrollo local sostenible. Se utilizaron como métodos teóricos el histórico lógico, análisis síntesis e hipotético deductivo y métodos empíricos las entrevistas no estructuradas, observación directa y revisión de documentos. La creación de cooperativas mineras permite a sus miembros acceso a tecnología, capacitación, disminución de los costos de producción e impactos al medio ambiente, permitiendo obtener resultados económicos y sociales. Este proceso desemboca en la colectivización del trabajo, incrementando la productividad y la especialización.
