Abstract

Este trabalho objetivou avaliar o potencial ornamental de duas espécies arbóreas nativas em áreas de cerrado modificado pela ação antrópica. Para definição do potencial ornamental das espécies foram consideradas características estéticas: porte, cor, textura, forma, estrutura e simetria. Foram selecionadas duas espécies como de potencial ornamental. Os indivíduos da espécie A. falcata apresentou floração no inverno enquanto que os da espécie C. brasiliense floresceu no verão, ambas podendo serem utilizadas a pleno sol. Estas espécies possuem grande potencial paisagístico, para arborização de parques e praças.
