Abstract

Logística abrange uma série de atividades e por essa razão propicia uma visão da organização como um todo. Inclui a administração de recursos que aliada à informação, proporciona a gestão adequada da cadeia produtiva. O transporte representa um dos custos logísticos mais elevados e gerenciá-lo adequadamente constitui fator relevante para o negócio. Esta pesquisa teve o objetivo de explorar conceitos logísticos e aplicá-los como ferramentas que contribuam com a busca por soluções de questões relacionadas ao transporte de cargas e aos custos logísticos originados desse trânsito.
