Estrategia comunitaria de educación ambiental para la conservación del patrimonio cultural: caso Zoológico de Piedra

Abstract

La estrategia propone el abordaje de la disciplina de Educación Ambiental para enfrentar problemas ambientales que afectan la conservación del patrimonio cultural. Su implementación se fundamenta en los resultados del estudio de caso y en los fines, principios y objetivos de la Educación Ambiental, planteada como proceso (conciencia, conocimiento, actitudes, aptitudes, capacidad de evaluación y participación). La estrategia se concibe como un proceso que integra elementos afectivos, cognitivos y conductuales, en cinco etapas: diagnóstico participativo y sensibilización previa, sensibilización ambiental, apropiación, acción ambiental y evaluación, de manera que promueva la transformación que se requiere para transcitar del diagnóstico y la sensibilización a la acción. Este enfoque, posibilitó facilitar conocimientos y capacidades a los actores comunitarios claves, para la promoción de un comportamiento ambiental responsable hacia la conservación del patrimonio cultural del Zoológico de Piedra (ZOOP) y zonas aledañas.
