Competitividad y eficiencia en el marco del costo basado en las actividades (ABC)

Abstract

Lograr la competitividad y la eficiencia, constituye un aspecto de vital importancia para las empresas hoy en día, reducir los costos de producción o de prestación de un servicio constituye la base de este propósito. Los sistemas y procedimientos actuales para el cálculo, registro y análisis de los costos presentan limitaciones que impiden el logro de este objetivo. El Costo Basado en las Actividades (ABC), constituye una herramienta fundamental, partiendo de que no son los productos o servicios los que consumen recursos, si no las actividades, permitiendo esto un mejor proceso de asignación de costos en función de hacer más eficiente y competitivas las empresas. Para las empresas, esta herramienta juega un papel determinante, pues las características de los flujos de informaciones del proceso productivo, se sustentan en diferentes actividades que se realizan para garantizar un producto o servicio de calidad, de ahí la importancia de aplicar el Costo Basado en las Actividades en función de la competitividad y la eficiencia.
