El modelo nórdico: ¿el socialismo soñado por los cubanos?

Abstract

El presente ensayo discute posibles lecciones del modelo nórdico para el proceso de transición y reformas que acontecen hoy en Cuba. El mismo parte de un análisis de las razones que llevan a los países nórdicos a ser referentes internacionales. Sobre esta base y considerando diversas limitaciones del modelo de bienestar cubano, se discuten posibles lecciones para Cuba; sobre todo, relacionadas con: la política fiscal, laboral y económica, así como los mecanismos de participación e inclusión social. El ensayo se fundamenta en el análisis de importantes estudios, que han quedado reconocidos en la bibliografía. Además de, varias visitas de la autora a Noruega, con el objetivo de entender mejor las políticas y procedimientos, a través de los cuales esta sociedad ha construido y sostiene un exitoso estado de bienestar.
