Una mirada a la gestión de la comunicación organizacional en la Universidad de Guantánamo

Abstract

En el marco organizacional la gestión de la comunicación tiene un carácter estratégico en función de la consecución de su misión y visión. Los autores, a partir del examen de la Universidad de Guantánamo (UG) como objeto de análisis, identifican los procesos de comunicación institucional de carácter formal, su estructura para gerenciarla, lugar dentro del organigrama, capital humano e infraestructura general y tecnológica asignada para tales fines. Asimismo, exponen el modo de gerenciar que prevalece y realizan un análisis sobre la comunicación interna y externa formal: componentes y modos en que se desarrolla. Finalmente, señalan las deficiencias que evidencia el proceso de comunicación institucional formal evaluado, a partir de la identificación de debilidades, amenazas, fortalezas y oportunidades (DAFO). Se concluye con una propuesta de acciones para asumir de manera estratégica y planificada este proceso en la organización estudiada, como un paso importante para la gestión administrativa.
