Un acercamiento a la cultura cienfueguera: el teatro, la literatura y la música

Abstract

El trabajo que se presenta fundamenta la importancia que tiene en la enseñanza de la Historia Local explicar el desarrollo cultural alcanzado en la provincia de Cienfuegos. Para ello, se enfatiza en lo relacionado con las manifestaciones artísticas, en ella se alude al teatro, la literatura y la música durante la colonia y la neocolonia, con el propósito de explicar cómo mediante estas manifestaciones se expresa el sentir del pueblo cienfueguero en su lucha por el alcance, al igual que Cuba, de la independencia. Se presenta el vínculo existente entre el desarrollo histórico y socioeconómico alcanzado por la provincia y su cultura. Mediante la historia de la cultura pueden comprenderse entonces, los componentes de la sociedad, sus dimensiones, así como la vida y obra de las personalidades que trascendieron en el tiempo como parte de un espacio histórico - cultural.
