Agroturismo y desarrollo rural: situación actual y potencial. Comunidad Olón - Santa Elena - Ecuador

Abstract

Las explotaciones agrarias de la provincia de Santa Elena se mantienen relativamente estables frente a provincias de la región andina que han desarrollado la actividad agroturística a gran escala. La baja tasa de actividades agroturísticas evidenciadas permitió determinar estrategias para el aprovechamiento del potencial recreativo que poseen los sistemas agrarios de la zona; así como también su desarrollo rural, integrado, endógeno y sostenible. Para la obtención de un plan de desarrollo estratégico agroturístico para la provincia de Santa Elena fue necesario el trabajo directo con la comunidad receptora; fichas de observación directa; encuestas y entrevistas a visitantes y agricultores; y, análisis de variables multivariantes a partir del modelo binominial y multinomial.
