Leitura literária do trabalhador: passaporte à melhoria na qualidade de vida

Abstract

O presente estudo objetivou analisar a forma com que alguns trabalhadores industriais se relacionam com a leitura literária no interior de uma fábrica. Realizou-se pesquisa em caráter exploratório com abordagem qualitativa. Para a coleta de dados foi realizada entrevista semiestruturada com trabalhadores/leitores de uma indústria situada na região metropolitana da Grande Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. A discussão teórica versa sobre o ensino-aprendizagem da leitura na educação básica e o seu reflexo na relação do trabalhador com a leitura literária intermediada por uma biblioteca itinerante. A análise mostrou que a prática de leitura dos trabalhadores apresenta limites e possibilidades. Evidenciou-se que a leitura tem grande significado na concepção desses sujeitos, tanto para a vida pessoal quanto para a profissional.
