Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo es el Diseño de una ruta agro turística en el cantón Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos, como posibilidad de transformar el conocimiento único del agricultor en una ventaja competitiva, desarrollando nuevas actividades productivas que permitan su crecimiento económico, incursionando en mercados relacionados en el ambiente del turismo innovador, ecológico, social, participativo, y cultural que el cantón necesita. Quevedo tiene un potencial agroturístico importante aún a pesar de su escasa extensión territorial rural, su capacidad agrícola y atractivos naturales hacen que puedan ofertarse servicio de ocio y visitas a los principales puntos agro productivos, constituyéndose una alternativa para los turistas que gustan de un contacto íntimo con la naturaleza. Las particularidades físicas del territorio, el recurso agroturístico, los servicios viales, la cercanía donde se desarrolla la actividad agropecuaria permiten el diseño de paquetes que pueden ser ofertados en el mercado local, regional, nacional e internacional y las estrategias de mercadeo que se plantean, pueden reformar a Quevedo en un modelo de desarrollo agroturístico de gran importancia. Por tanto, el estudio desarrollado alrededor de la propuesta permite crecer el turismo, satisfacer a los turistas que gozan de la naturaleza y de buscar nuevos sitios de relajación y distracción, alejados de los lugares turísticos convencionales saturados.
