Abstract

Este artigo traz uma reflexão sobre a área de tecnologias sociais a partir das principais preocupações expressas pelos participantes do IV Workshop de Tecnologia Social do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia, relativas a problemas ligados ao ambiente, à ausência e/ou deficiência dos serviços públicos, e ainda, problemas ligados à qualidade de vida nas cidades, com foco em Manaus. Trata ainda da contribuição do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia para tecnologias sociais voltadas à geração de trabalho e renda na região.
