Abstract

Ante el inacabado proceso de transculturización de la que fue y es objeto América Latina y el Caribe; pueblos y gobiernos de Bolivia, Ecuador y Venezuela apuestan en el siglo XXI a un cambio profundo de estructuras en todos los ámbitos, y la comunicación no escapa a ello. Este trabajo se refiere a Venezuela, gobierno que desde el 2004 está visibilizando los medios de comunicación comunitarios y alternativos como forma de llevar la información veraz y oportuna a los venezolanos, a través del diseño de políticas públicas, luego del silencio informativo que realizaran las grandes corporaciones privadas nacionales y extranjeras durante los hechos del golpe de Estado de abril 2.002.
