Abstract

El 26 de noviembre es reconocido en Cuba como “Día del Economista†, por ser nombrado ese día, de 1959, Ernesto “Che†Guevara, Presidente del Banco Nacional de Cuba. Sin embargo, hay dos hechos históricos poco conocidos, ocurridos en esa fecha: el primero, relacionado con la figura del Che, lo fue un intento de intromisión de los EE.UU. al objetar el nombramiento. El otro hecho, lo fue el suicidio del matrimonio Lafargue. El cubano Pablo Lafargue, uno de los difusores más renombrados del Marxismo, casado con una de las hijas de Carlos Marx, y donde, como curiosidad uno de los oradores en el panegírico lo fuera Vladimir Ilich Lenin.
