Estudio Preliminar De La Entomofauna Asociada A Pasturas En El Carmen, Ecuador

Abstract

La investigación se realizó en el cantón El Carmen, provincia de Manabí en un total de 10 unidades productivas, entre junio y octubre del 2013. Mediante el empleo de una red entomológica, se tomaron 10 muestras al azar en cada potrero de dos tipos de pastos, próximos a ser pastoreados; o sea, 200 muestras (100 en Megathyrsus maximus (Jacq.) B. K. Simon & S.W. L. Jacobs y 100 en Brachiaria decumbens Stapf y Brachiaria brizantha (Hochst. ex A. Rich.) Stapf. La toma de cada muestra consistió en 25 pases de la red, con el objetivo de identificar los diferentes órdenes de insectos que se encontraban en los pastizales. Se determinaron en los 20 potreros estudiados, especies pertenecientes a siete órdenes de insectos y dos clases de arácnidos. El orden de mayor representatividad fue Hemiptera con un 71,6% de dominancia y 100% de frecuencia. El coeficiente de similitud de ambos pastos con respecto a la entomofauna presente fue de uno, se presenta una composición similar en ambos pastos.
