Abstract

Con el progreso acelerado de los conocimientos y del poderío científico- técnico aumentan las responsabilidades del ser humano de manera directamente proporcional a dicho incremento. La Bioética ayuda en el discernimiento de la eticidad en las distintas acciones que las ciencias realizan sobre la vida humana, los demás seres vivientes y el entorno y favorece la reflexión inter y multidisciplinaria sobre el vínculo entre los avances científicos y tecnológicos y la ética. Contribuye al reconocimiento de las conductas axiológicas que guían las aplicaciones de los conocimientos científicos, favorece la identificación de los problemas éticos que se derivan de la aplicación de la ciencia e incrementa el sentido de la responsabilidad en la práctica médica. De ahí la importancia de la formación del profesional de la salud en base a fundamentos humanos y éticos.
