Gobernabilidad Urbana En Repãšblica Dominicana: Caso Ciudad De Santiago

Abstract

La aplicación de los principios de marketing en la gestión de la ciudad ha quedado normalmente reducida a la utilización de las herramientas de comunicación para tratar de difundir la imagen de la ciudad entre los diferentes públicos a los que se desea atraer. Al mismo tiempo, el desarrollo de las ciudades se ha basado habitualmente en la dotación de infraestructuras y edificios singulares, mediante procesos de planificación estratégica relativamente opacos de cara a la población. Desde una visión de marketing, se puede considerar imprescindible basar el desarrollo de las ciudades en la participación activa de la ciudadanía, así como en la potenciación de los aspectos tangibles e intangibles. En el caso de la ciudad de Santiago, el plan estratégico de Santiago, que se ha desarrollado en la última década se centró en los tangibles, mientras que el nuevo plan pone un especial énfasis en los aspectos intangibles y en la participación del ciudadano local.
