Logística: evolución histórica y relevancia en el contexto actual cubano

Abstract

La logística se ha desarrollado a través del tiempo y actualmente ha adquirido mayor importancia por su papel decisivo en el proceso de creación de los productos y/o servicios y en la satisfacción de los clientes. Es por esto que, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo, mostrar la evolución histórica de la logística a través de definiciones de diversos autores, destacando los elementos fundamentales que caracterizan cada una de las etapas del desarrollo de la logística. Además se resalta la importancia que tiene la logística en el contexto actual cubano, como fuente para lograr la eficiencia y la competitividad necesarias en las organizaciones. Se concluye que la logística es un sistema que integra todos los procesos empresariales (aprovisionamiento, producción, almacenamiento, distribución y comercialización), gestionados eficaz y eficientemente por el personal, a través de los flujos informativo, material, financiero y de retorno, en estrecha relación con los proveedores y los clientes.
