La Economía Y La Regulación Desde Los Costos De Transacción: Un Enfoque Crítico

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza un aspecto nodular dentro de la teoría Neoinstitucionalista. Su precursor intelectual, premio Nobel de Economía (1991), Ronald Coase, autor más leído dentro de la literatura económica, elaboró la teoría de los costes de transacción, con la que surge una nueva microeconomía y, a partir de la cual, justifica la necesidad de las instituciones como agentes regulatorios. El Neoinstitucionalismo plantea que las reglas de juego que guían el comportamiento de los agentes en una sociedad son fundamentales para explicar su desempeño económico. Una consulta expedita de diversas fuentes de información permite reconocer la existencia de una extensa bibliografía relacionada con el tema. Sin embargo, es difícil encontrar trabajos que aborden el significado y contenido de dicha categoría desde el análisis marxista.
