Abstract

El actual desarrollo de las tecnologías incide de manera directa en la gestión de la información y la formación científica de la educación superior. Es de vital importancia la labor de la universidad en la formación del estudiantado, en aras de responder a las demandas de la sociedad de la informatización y el conocimiento. La investigación aborda el tema de la gestión de la información en la formación científica del estudiante universitario del Centro Universitario Municipal Fomento para el logro de un profesional competente. Se realiza un análisis documental sobre la Gestión de la Información, la formación científica del docente, la virtualización de la docencia en tiempos de COVID-19 y la utilización de las herramientas para la Gestión de la Información y Conocimiento, donde se refleja y analizan el uso de las mismas: los Centros de Recursos para el Aprendizaje e Investigación (CRAI), la red intranet de la universidad, disponibilidad de bases de datos, los repositorios de archivos históricos, bibliotecas virtuales, tecnologías web, creación de grupo de chat (WhatsApp) y emisión de video-conferencias. Los métodos empleados son: el histórico-lógico, lógico-deductivo, sistémico y el análisis documental. La gestión de la información unida al soporte tecnológico favorece y potencia la formación científica del universitario, quienes deben autogestionar la misma y obtener los conocimientos. La universalización con la introducción de nuevas herramientas e innovaciones web demanda una permanente y actualizada preparación de la comunidad universitaria para el logro de un profesional competente.
