Dos Grandes Pensadores Cubanos: Jos㉠Antonio Saco Y Enrique Jos㉠Varona. ¿Similitudes O Diferencias?

Abstract

La historia del pensamiento en Cuba está colmada de hombres que dedicaron años de su vida a luchar por la mejora de las condiciones políticas, económicas y sociales. Esta situación se evidenció sobre todo en el siglo XIX, cuando aún éramos colonia de España y pervivió en las primeras décadas del siglo siguiente. Dos ilustres pensadores cubanos son José Antonio Saco y Enrique José Varona. Por lo tanto, el objetivo de esta investigación es: comparar a ambos pensadores atendiendo a patrones de comparación previamente establecidos. Los mismo son: origen y clase social a la que pertenecieron, influencia de corrientes de pensamiento foráneas, utilización de la sociología en sus análisis de la sociedad cubana, posición respecto al alzamiento independentista del 10 de octubre de 1868 y papel en la dirección de dos revistas importantes: la Revista Bimestre Cubano de Saco y la Revista Cubana de Varona.
