Abstract

La ausencia de un instrumento que apoye explícitamente la gestión logística en la Universidad de Holguín logrando mayor eficiencia, permitiendo una mejor normalización, planificación y uniformidad de sus procesos pone en evidencia la necesidad de contar con una herramienta de trabajo acorde a las exigencias actuales y la integración de la educación superior. A partir de ello, el objetivo fundamental de esta investigación se centró en diseñar un catálogo de insumos y productos que viabilice los flujos de información entre las cuatro sedes universitarias acerca de productos, normas de consumo y precios según inventario, esto permitirá auxiliar a directivos y trabajadores acerca del uso de los recursos, para qué áreas están destinados; así como, facilita las demandas de presupuesto por las distintas áreas de la universidad. Para el logro de este objetivo, se requirió la utilización de varios métodos científicos entre los que se encuentran del nivel teórico: histórico-lógico, estudio y análisis documental, análisis- síntesis, inducción - deducción y métodos empíricos como la observación, conversación informal con los trabajadores, entrevistas y encuestas.
