¿Violencia En La Tercera Edad?: Algunos Consejos Útiles Para Enfrentar Sus Consecuencias

Abstract

En Cuba cada día son más las personas que peinan canas, esto se evidencia en las estadísticas demográficas, pues la población por encima de los 60 años es el 19,8 % del total de habitantes de la isla, según datos recientes de la Oficina de Estadísticas e Información. Uno de los retos de nuestra sociedad está relacionado con el cuidado de estos ciudadanos por lo que la autora declara como tema ¿Violencia en el adulto mayor? con el objetivo de reflexionar en algunos consejos útiles para enfrentar sus consecuencias ya que la adultez es un período de replanteo de la vida donde se presenta llena de nuevas formas de seguir creciendo y desarrollándose. Se utilizaron métodos científicos como la entrevista, cuestionarios, observación, así como las propias vivencias que resultan de un accionar heroico en ese enfrentamiento que hoy se tiene y que le provee de la energía y el optimismo necesarios para seguir creciendo.
