Abstract

Investigaciones realizadas con niños y niñas de la enseñanza primaria han revelado insuficiencias relacionadas con la formación de conceptos geométricos, los cuales sirven de base para estudios posteriores y para la vida. La enseñanza de la Geometría en la escuela primaria desarrolla el pensamiento espacial de los niños en función del desarrollo científico, tecnológico y artístico, y en la planificación de situaciones pedagógicas. El objetivo de la presente investigación es diseñar y elaborar el software “GEOSEXTO†para contribuir a la formación de conceptos geométricos en niños y niñas de sexto grado de la enseñanza primaria en Cuba. Este software además de ser un eficiente medio para impartir clases de Geometría y contribuir a la solución del problema científico planteado, puede ser utilizado por los estudiantes como un ejercitador en el trabajo independiente, donde éste puede autoevaluarse y resolver sus dificultades individuales.
