Aceptación Y Creación: La Estética De Una Nación Insular

Abstract

Las artes japonesas se distinguen de las occidentales principalmente porque la gran mayoría de sus formas y sus técnicas no han surgido en Japón, sino que se importaron en el curso de los siglos desde China, Corea u Occidente. Pero, al cabo de un tiempo, estas formas y técnicas importadas se han transformado invariablemente en algo exclusivo de Japón mediante un proceso de refinamiento, adaptación y modificación. Además, la evolución de este fenómeno, que denomino «japonización», aparece seguir ciertas leyes extrañamente inmutables.
