Crisis económica pre y post-pandemia: su incidencia en la mortalidad de las MiPymes en Ecuador

Abstract

No existe economía alguna que no haya sido afectada por la recesión planetaria en este 2020, producto del fenómeno SARS-CoV-2; ya en el 2019 las perspectivas de crecimiento mundial de acuerdo al Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) avizoraban un - 0,2 % en comparación con años anteriores, ocasionado por las tensiones comerciales y geopolíticas entre los Estados Unidos y China, con una connotación directa en países latinoamericanos (unos más que otros), como México, Argentina, Venezuela y Ecuador; este último con una seria dependencia de estas dos impetuosas naciones y la Unión Europea, cuya ralentización de las actividades del comercio bilateral, han afectado el aparato estatal, las instituciones públicas y más las privadas, principalmente a las micro, pequeñas, medianas y grandes empresas. Estos sucesos han desatado una crisis financiera sin precedentes, destrozando el tejido empresarial ecuatoriano, con una progresión en la desaparición de compañías en todo orden y sector. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo medir la incidencia de la pandemia en la mortalidad de las MIPYMES.
