Matriz de riesgo para el cumplimiento de la prevención de lavado de activos en compañías de seguros

Abstract

El lavado de activos es un mecanismo por medio de cual los delincuentes pretenden disimular el origen ilícito del capital que poseen invirtiéndolo en propiedades y negocios de toda índole con la única finalidad de volverlos legítimos en el sistema financiero de un país, en la actualidad es responsabilidad de las compañías aseguradoras, y de sus miembros prevenir y combatir el lavado de activos y cualquier otra actividad ilícita que derive del manejo dudoso de capital, la continua infiltración de personas que lavan dinero en las entidades financieras y aseguradoras ha creado un mercado negro y negocio lucrativo para quienes la realizan es necesario crear alternativas para sondear y estudiar el comportamiento de los clientes potencialmente peligrosos; dichas alternativas pueden ser implementadas a través del uso de modelos matemáticos tal como una matriz de riesgo.
